Born in Monterey as a Third Generation Peninsula Native, I have lived in Seaside for over twenty years. My parents raised me to respect everyone, to work hard, and to always try my best. I was also taught the importance of helping others and service to country. After graduating from high school in 2001, I joined the United States Navy several years later to become a Nuclear Machinists Mate.
In 2012 I graduated from Monterey Peninsula College with Associates Degrees in History, Psychology, Political Science, and University Studies with an Engineering Emphasis. I am nearly finished with my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, which I intend to earn when I return to CSU Monterey Bay.
For over a decade I‘ve worked as a Private Security Officer as my primary occupation. I also have nearly ten years experience working as a Math Tutor, four years of which I worked at MPC’s Academic Support Center. My small business produces pin-back buttons.
I’ve been a member to a local church in Monterey for seventeen years, a member of a local men’s community in Seaside/Carmel for sixteen years, and I‘ve sponsored a child in an impoverished country for eleven years. I’ve also been part of several professional groups this past six years, which focus on leadership and professional networking.
I served these last five and a half years as an Appointed City Commission Chairman, focusing on humanitarian collaboration and practical local solutions to support the unhoused in our community.
